Women & Mental Health – Know the Signs and Strategies for Coping
Although mental health rates are nearly identical across gender, the ways in which symptoms present often differs substantially, depending on one’s gender. Career women face unique challenges related to gender and the workplace, mental health, family, and work-life balance. Gender differences in symptom presentation and diagnoses will be discussed, as it relates to women and their work. The aim of this presentation is to increase experiences with mental health concerns, to identify warning signs of burnout, depression, and anxiety, as well as address mental health concerns among women in the workforce. Attendees will also leave this presentation with identifiable strategies and coping skills to manage mental health symptoms and improve their quality of life.
