Lunch and Learn
Educational sessions designed to share information with members and guests regarding personal development, professional development, community outreach, business skills, and relationship building. These are to build specific skills or share specific knowledge. Lunch and Learns are designed for members to invite guests in our industries. The series is a lunch event currently held at the Portland City Grill on the third Thursday of the month. Pre-Event registration is required, these events often sell out, and registration is not available at the door.
No Host Happy Hours
Fun and engaging after-hours events designed for members and guests to meet, mingle and get to know each other. These are not business card exchanges. We often have an activity that is designed to learn more about the people in the room and create real connection. We believe in getting to know our strategic partners and developing long-term relationships. These are held at various locations throughout the downtown Portland area.
In these sessions, we come with questions and leave with detailed notes on the feedback received from other members and guests at our table. In this rapid-fire advancement session, we work together to bring you the feedback, motivation, and suggestions you need to bring your practice to the next level. Meet your dream team at a mastermind session.
Morning Study Hall
For members and their invited guests. We invite industry leaders to come and share current trends, concerns, ideas, information, and legislation with our members. These sessions are interactive and give our members great technical knowledge on different topics that affect our members. These include insurance, economy, real estate, etc.
Open to the public. This is a high quality, general motivational or informational speaker (meaning not talking about our industry specifics). This is a perfect event to come meet the members of WIFS, hear about our terrific sponsors, get a great meal and hear a fantastic speaker. We also do a charity drive at this event and encourage guests to bring items or donations for the charity we are featuring for the year. The dinners are often held in a hotel ballroom. There are also additional opportunities for vendors to have a table to display their business and for dinner table buy-outs to bring many guests or several members of your company. Pre-Event registration is required and this event often sells out.
WIFS EVENT POLICY:
One of the ways we are able to keep costs reasonable for our members is by committing to our venues a specified number of attendees for each event. This allows better planning on both our parts.
While we understand that last minute issues can come up that may require you to miss an event after having already registered and paid, we, unfortunately are not able to offer refunds. If we receive and acknowledge your cancellation at least 7 days prior to the event we will credit the price towards a comparable event in the future.
