Vicky used the giraffe as an analogy for leadership:

• Long neck represents the ability to see long distances

• Strong body represents being grounded

• It has the largest heart of any land animal, and as leaders we need to have big hearts

• It’s connected to its young and its herd

• Represents sticking one’s neck out

• Can respond proactively if they see danger coming
